Germany's International Motor Show, commonly known as the Frankfurt Motor Show opened to the public on Thursday, and will run through to Sept 22. This year's show has attracted 800 worldwide exhibitors, with 79 from China - the biggest foreign contingent.

New energy cars play a main role at this year's motor show.
