Wu Haojie, a nurse from Southwest China's Chongqing, is one of the medical workers helping to fight the virus.

Wu has been working as a nurse in the Emergency Department of the municipality's emergency medical center for three years, and he is one of the volunteers the municipality has dispatched to help in the epicenter of the novel coronavirus outbreak.

The municipality has sent over 300 medical workers, four medical vehicles and 25,000 kg of oranges to help fight the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic in Central China's Hubei province.

Wu has been working at Wuhan Jinyintan Hospital since Jan 28.

The 25-year-old forgot to bring his white medical boots as they left for Wuhan in a hurry, and one of his colleagues shared a pair of his boots, which is an unforgettable memory for him.

Wu and his colleagues work in three shifts. If he is on morning duty, he has some time for lunch. If he has to work in the afternoons or in the evenings, he will eat dinner before he going to work.

"We use diapers while working, and I try my best to have less food and water while working," he said.

"Protective suits are my favorite clothes," Wu added.
