新時(shí)代中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義思想，明確堅(jiān)持和發(fā)展中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義，總?cè)蝿?wù)是實(shí)現(xiàn)社會(huì)主義現(xiàn)代化和中華民族偉大復(fù)興，在全面建成小康社會(huì)的基礎(chǔ)上，分兩步走在本世紀(jì)中葉建成富強(qiáng)民主文明和諧美麗的社會(huì)主義現(xiàn)代化強(qiáng)國(guó)；
The Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era makes clear that the overarching goal of upholding and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics is to realize socialist modernization and national rejuvenation, and, that on the basis of finishing the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects, a two-step approach should be taken to build China into a great modern socialist country that is prosperous, strong, democratic, culturally advanced, harmonious, and beautiful by the middle of the century.

明確新時(shí)代我國(guó)社會(huì)主要矛盾是人民日益增長(zhǎng)的美好生活需要和不平衡不充分的發(fā)展之間的矛盾，必須堅(jiān)持以人民為中心的發(fā)展思想，不斷促進(jìn)人的全面發(fā)展、全體人民共同富裕；
It makes clear that the principal contradiction facing Chinese society in the new era is that between unbalanced and inadequate development and the people’s ever-growing needs for a better life. We must therefore continue commitment to our people-centered philosophy of development, and work to promote well-rounded human development and common prosperity for everyone.

明確中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義事業(yè)總體布局是“五位一體”、戰(zhàn)略布局是“四個(gè)全面”，強(qiáng)調(diào)堅(jiān)定道路自信、理論自信、制度自信、文化自信；
It makes clear that the overall plan for building socialism with Chinese characteristics is the five-sphere integrated plan, and the overall strategy is the four-pronged comprehensive strategy. It highlights the importance of fostering stronger confidence in the path, theory, system, and culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics.

明確全面深化改革總目標(biāo)是完善和發(fā)展中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義制度、推進(jìn)國(guó)家治理體系和治理能力現(xiàn)代化；
It makes clear that the overall goal of deepening reform in every field is to improve and develop the system of socialism with Chinese characteristics and modernize China’s system and capacity for governance.

明確全面推進(jìn)依法治國(guó)總目標(biāo)是建設(shè)中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義法治體系、建設(shè)社會(huì)主義法治國(guó)家；
It makes clear that the overall goal of comprehensively advancing law-based governance is to establish a system of socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics and build a country of socialist rule of law.

明確黨在新時(shí)代的強(qiáng)軍目標(biāo)是建設(shè)一支聽黨指揮、能打勝仗、作風(fēng)優(yōu)良的人民軍隊(duì)，把人民軍隊(duì)建設(shè)成為世界一流軍隊(duì)；
It makes clear that the Party’s goal of building a strong military in the new era is to build the people’s forces into world-class forces that obey the Party’s command, can fight and win, and maintain excellent conduct.

明確中國(guó)特色大國(guó)外交要推動(dòng)構(gòu)建新型國(guó)際關(guān)系，推動(dòng)構(gòu)建人類命運(yùn)共同體；
It makes clear that major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics aims to foster a new type of international relations and build a community with a shared future for mankind.

明確中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義最本質(zhì)的特征是中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨領(lǐng)導(dǎo)，中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義制度的最大優(yōu)勢(shì)是中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨領(lǐng)導(dǎo)，黨是最高政治領(lǐng)導(dǎo)力量，提出新時(shí)代黨的建設(shè)總要求，突出政治建設(shè)在黨的建設(shè)中的重要地位。
It makes clear that the defining feature of socialism with Chinese characteristics is the leadership of the Communist Party of China; the greatest strength of the system of socialism with Chinese characteristics is the leadership of the Communist Party of China; the Party is the highest force for political leadership. The Thought sets forth the general requirements for Party building in the new era and underlines the importance of political work in Party building.

全黨要深刻領(lǐng)會(huì)新時(shí)代中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義思想的精神實(shí)質(zhì)和豐富內(nèi)涵，在各項(xiàng)工作中全面準(zhǔn)確貫徹落實(shí)。
Everyone in the Party should develop a good grasp of the essence and rich implications of the Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and fully and faithfully apply it in all our work.

Ensuring Party leadership over all work;

必須增強(qiáng)政治意識(shí)、大局意識(shí)、核心意識(shí)、看齊意識(shí)，自覺維護(hù)黨中央權(quán)威和集中統(tǒng)一領(lǐng)導(dǎo)，自覺在思想上政治上行動(dòng)上同黨中央保持高度一致。
We must strengthen our consciousness of the need to maintain political integrity, think in big-picture terms, follow the leadership core, and keep in alignment. We must work harder to uphold the authority and centralized, unified leadership of the Central Committee, and closely follow the Central Committee in terms of our thinking, political orientation, and actions.

把人民對(duì)美好生活的向往作為奮斗目標(biāo)，依靠人民創(chuàng)造歷史偉業(yè)。
We must regard as our goal the people’s aspirations to live a better life, and rely on the people to move history forward.

四、決勝全面建成小康社會(huì)，開啟全面建設(shè)社會(huì)主義現(xiàn)代化國(guó)家新征程
Securing a Decisive Victory in Building a Moderately Prosperous Society in All Respects and Embarking on a Journey to Fully Build a Modern Socialist China

從現(xiàn)在到二〇二〇年，是全面建成小康社會(huì)決勝期。
The period between now and 2020 will be decisive in finishing the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects.

我們既要全面建成小康社會(huì)、實(shí)現(xiàn)第一個(gè)百年奮斗目標(biāo)，又要乘勢(shì)而上開啟全面建設(shè)社會(huì)主義現(xiàn)代化國(guó)家新征程，向第二個(gè)百年奮斗目標(biāo)進(jìn)軍。
In this period, not only must we finish building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and achieve the first centenary goal; we must also build on this achievement to embark on a new journey toward the second centenary goal of fully building a modern socialist country.

綜合分析國(guó)際國(guó)內(nèi)形勢(shì)和我國(guó)發(fā)展條件，從二〇二〇年到本世紀(jì)中葉可以分兩個(gè)階段來安排。
Based on a comprehensive analysis of the international and domestic environments and the conditions for China’s development, we have drawn up a two-stage development plan for the period from 2020 to the middle of this century.

第一個(gè)階段，從二〇二〇年到二〇三五年，在全面建成小康社會(huì)的基礎(chǔ)上，再奮斗十五年，基本實(shí)現(xiàn)社會(huì)主義現(xiàn)代化。
In the first stage from 2020 to 2035, we will build on the foundation created by the moderately prosperous society with a further 15 years of hard work to see that socialist modernization is basically realized.

第二個(gè)階段，從二〇三五年到本世紀(jì)中葉，在基本實(shí)現(xiàn)現(xiàn)代化的基礎(chǔ)上，再奮斗十五年，把我國(guó)建成富強(qiáng)民主文明和諧美麗的社會(huì)主義現(xiàn)代化強(qiáng)國(guó)。
In the second stage from 2035 to the middle of the 21st century, we will, building on having basically achieved modernization, work hard for a further 15 years and develop China into a great modern socialist country that is prosperous, strong, democratic, culturally advanced, harmonious, and beautiful.

五、貫徹新發(fā)展理念，建設(shè)現(xiàn)代化經(jīng)濟(jì)體系
Applying a New Vision of Development and Developing a Modernized Economy

建設(shè)現(xiàn)代化經(jīng)濟(jì)體系，必須把發(fā)展經(jīng)濟(jì)的著力點(diǎn)放在實(shí)體經(jīng)濟(jì)上，把提高供給體系質(zhì)量作為主攻方向，顯著增強(qiáng)我國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)質(zhì)量?jī)?yōu)勢(shì)。
In developing a modernized economy, we must focus on the real economy, give priority to improving the quality of the supply system, and enhance our economy’s strength in terms of quality.

以城市群為主體構(gòu)建大中小城市和小城鎮(zhèn)協(xié)調(diào)發(fā)展的城鎮(zhèn)格局，加快農(nóng)業(yè)轉(zhuǎn)移人口市民化。
We will create networks of cities and towns based on city clusters, enabling the coordinated development of cities of different sizes and small towns, and speed up work on granting permanent urban residency to people who move from rural to urban areas.

深化國(guó)有企業(yè)改革，發(fā)展混合所有制經(jīng)濟(jì)，培育具有全球競(jìng)爭(zhēng)力的世界一流企業(yè)。
We will further reform of State-owned enterprises, develop mixed-ownership economic entities, and turn Chinese enterprises into world-class, globally competitive firms.

開放帶來進(jìn)步，封閉必然落后。中國(guó)開放的大門不會(huì)關(guān)閉，只會(huì)越開越大。
Openness brings progress, while self-seclusion leaves one behind. China will not close its door to the world; we will only become more and more open.
