Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and US Secretary of State John Kerry held a telephone conversation on Friday in which Kerry said Washington is willing to keep close communications with Beijing and push forward a final deal in the Iran nuclear talks.

Kerry briefed Wang on the latest progress and existing difficulties in the Iran nuclear negotiations over the phone, according to a statement from the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

He highly commended China's efforts in advancing the nuclear talks.

Kerry said that The US is willing to keep close communications with China and work together to push a final deal to be reached in the negotiations.

Wang called for all parties to be politically committed and meet each other halfway, to reach a comprehensive deal.

China is willing to step up all-level communications with the US and finish the last negotiations of the marathon talks over Tehran's nuclear program, Wang said.
