Puyuan Fashion Week concludes in Zhejiang province

Puyuan Fashion Week, just concluded, featured stern-faced, statuesque runway models strutting in haute couture to pulsing DJ beats.
Held annually at the Puyuan Fashion Resort in Tongxiang, East China's Zhejiang province, the event transforms ordinary corridors, alleyways, and squares into edgy runways for renowned fashion brands.
Yet, in stark contrast to this mainstream spectacle was a show staged by a group of local primary school students. Over the course of a month, they had designed and re-imagined traditional Chinese garments like hanfu?and qipao, then took to the runway as models themselves.
This showcase did not utilize flashy stage designs — instead, the decorations were handmade installations crafted collaboratively by parents and children in the audience, using knitted yarn and tulle.
Bubble machines were put to good use by young attendees, injecting a playful whimsy into the fashion week's curated chic.
